Chris Brodie - Managing Director

Chris is the Managing Director of Slims Consulting Ltd. Prior to this he was an Associate Director at specialist economic and regeneration consultancy GEN.  He has more than 15 years experience as an economic development consultant. During his career Chris has worked extensively for public sector clients across the UK.  His key areas of expertise include:

• Assessment of the effectiveness of economic strategy and policy
• Strategy development and evaluation of business support policy, including international trade, innovation and enterprise support programmes.
• Economic appraisal and assessment of major development proposals and regeneration projects
• Policy development and evaluation of skills and employability programmes
• Development of regeneration and development strategies
• Carrying out business planning and feasibility studies.

Katie Fox - Consultant

Katie has a broad range of experience across the field of economic development.  Her principal strengths are her knowledge and expertise in the manipulation and presentation of key labour market and economic data.  These quantitative skills are complemented with a wide range of qualitative expertise.  She is a skilled research interviewer and has worked with various consultees, including businesses, focus groups and academic institutions.  Prior to joining Slims Consulting in 2008, Katie worked for a local regeneration agency in Glasgow where she managed all of the organisation’s information needs.

Graeme Brodie - Research Consultant

Graeme joined Slims Consulting in 2008.  He has a Postgraduate Diploma in Urban & Regional Planning from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh.  He has excellent quantitative data analysis skills and plays a central role in gathering and analysing the wide range of data required for the production of the series of Economic Reviews for Scottish Enterprise. He also supports the production of the annual Economic Statements for local authorities across the country to which Slims Consulting provides economic intelligence.
