Next Instalment in Economic Statement Series 2010

Category : Report
Date : 14/04/2010

Slims Consulting is pleased to announce that the second and final instalment in the 2010 Economic Statement Series is now available to download from the members' section of this website.

These reports focus on the strategic objective set out in the Government Economic Strategy of creating a Smarter Scotland.  It is set out in five sections which relate where possible to the Purpose Targets in the National Performance Framework, namely:

  • Workforce Skills
  • School Leavers
  • Further Education
  • Higher Education
  • Skills and Training in the Workplace

This year, whilst maintaining the focus of our reports on measuring progress towards GES targets, we have also included some additional analysis and commentary around the emerging evidence of the impact of the recession on our member areas.  Of particular interest within these reports is the analysis of the latest statistics from the Higher Education Statistics Authority (HESA), which provides the first evidence of the impact of the recession on graduate labour market opportunities.

Finally, as always, we would welcome your feedback on these reports.  If you do have any comments or queries, please contact Chris Brodie (Managing Director) at chris.brodie@slims.org.uk.
